David Hines

David Hines is a managing director of HM Payson and is the current director of research.  In addition to managing portfolios, he leads the firm’s Research Department.  He has been at HM Payson for 10 years.  Prior to Payson, David worked in the investment industry in Boston for about 10 years.  In Boston he held various positions in the areas of security analysis, trading, and portfolio management.

David’s academic credentials include a MBA from Babson College, a B.S. in Economics from Penn State University.  He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

David is active in the non-profit world and has served on the Board of the United Way of York County, the investment committee of the United Way of Greater Portland, and the Board of the Pine Tree Society.  Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Committee of the NextGen College Savings plan, a gubernatorial appointed position.   David currently resides in Kennebunk with his wife and three children.
