2015 Staff Development for Educators National Second Grade Teachers Conference

School:  Kennebunk Elementary School  Amount:  $2896.40  At the Staff Development for Educators (SDE) National Second Grade Teachers Conference, second grade educators will assemble to enrich their professional skills, knowledge, and careers.  This will create opportunities for Kennebunk Elementary School to invest in our students’ academic growth and success.  This project aligns with Grant Criteria as a professional training and development program for teachers.  In the long-term, the development and implementation of the new standards is a key to the success of our students.  The conference may help to create better instructional strategies as we begin teaching new topics or focus on different subject matter.  This grant will allow three teachers from Kennebunk Elementary School to attend this conference.  The teachers who attend the conference will return to Kennebunk Elementary School and share what they learn from the conference with the rest of the second grade team.
