The Science and Math Behind Pixar

This project is a collaboration among the 8th grade teachers at MSK, introducing 8th grade students to the science and math behind PIXAR productions. Students will discover how science, math engineering and math STEM are applied to create PIXAR’s award-winning films at this limited engagement exhibit at the Boston Museum of Science. This experience will help students to see how what they learn in school can help them in a future career. Pixar’s use of technology dovetails with the Art & Technology classes and the 3D printing Curriculum. Students will take part in a 1-hour session (10 students at a time), hands-on experience with producers and artists in this field.
